Lodge Rooms 

Sunset Resort Lodge is located in Houghton Lake on Michigan's largest inland lake and is a great alternative to a bed and breakfast. The Sunset Resort Lodge has an up north atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway or week long stay. Each of the 6 guest rooms are located on the second floor of the lodge and include a queen size bed or two twin beds.  There are 2 shared bathrooms with showers. Each of the cozy rooms is tastefully decorated in an up north outdoor theme and each reflects a unique charm of its own. Our goal is to provide a comfortable atmosphere to make your visit a memorable one.

Amenities include a new kitchenette, a elevated deck with tables and gas barbeque, cable TV, and wireless internet. Guests may also enjoy the first floor game room, sun porch, boats, fire pits and beach. In the morning coffee and tea are served on the sun porch compliments of Sunset Resort.

Beach Lodge Room

Duck Lodge Room

Sandpiper Lodge Room

Icehouse Room

Great guest room for your kids or for two adults!  This room is finished in an ice cutting and ice house theme with two twin beds.  It was not all that long ago that "Icebox" was a common household appliance.  View video of Icehouse Lodge Room

Other Amenities available to Sunset Resort Lodge Guests:

The Kitchenette located on the second floor of the lodge is a great place to prepare a simple meal.  A small refrigerator is available to keep things cold, and microwave and toaster are available to prepare simple meals. Cookware and utensils are provided.  The barbeque on the deck has a large grilling area and side burner for additional cooking.

A beautiful deck with a great view of Houghton Lake is located on the second floor and is an excellent place to relax or have a barbeque.
